2″ (2-Inch) Solar Borehole Pumps

Aquasolar builds 1 series of 2-inch solar submersible pumps — 8 models in total, reaching up to 140 m of head and 1.7 m³/h of flow. A 2″ pump fits a borehole whose inner diameter is at least slightly larger than the pump body, so check the minimum borehole figure for each series before ordering. Screw (helical-rotor) models handle sandy water; stainless-impeller models favour higher flows.

Frequently Asked Questions

What borehole diameter does a 2″ solar pump need?

The pump body is nominally 2 inches; the borehole’s inner diameter must be slightly larger. Each Aquasolar series lists its exact outer diameter and minimum borehole size in the specifications and the datasheet.

Screw pump or impeller pump — which one?

Screw (helical-rotor) pumps deliver high head at modest flows and tolerate sand — ideal for deep, narrow or silty wells. Impeller (centrifugal) pumps deliver higher flows and suit clean water. Both are listed below.

Can it run on solar only?

Yes — DC models run purely on solar, with water stored in a tank. If you need water around the clock, the AC/DC hybrid versions switch to grid or generator power automatically when sunlight is insufficient.
